Course Selection Information for Students Entering Year 10

You will study a total of twelve courses (six courses per half-year semester).  All Year 10 students must take the Social Science course: Defending Aotearoa.  In addition to this, you must select:

• Two English courses (please choose a Semester 1 course and a Semester 2 course). 
• Two Mathematics courses (please choose a course that ends in a 1 and a course that ends in a 2).
• Two Science courses
• One course in each of Health/Physical Education and Technology
• Three additional courses from any other Learning Area including Agriculture, Commerce, Social Sciences, Learning Languages, and/or the Arts.
• Four backup courses in case courses are unavailable.
