NCEA Level 2 Painting
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr N. Kokx, Mrs M. Fauvel.
Students extend their understanding, knowledge, and skill in Visual Art through developing a body of work (artworks) within painting in response to independently chosen theme/idea. The course focuses on students developing a proposition, independently researching, and generating ideas based on traditional and contemporary artist models. The course extends students’ prior learning in Photoshop.
Recommended Prior Learning
Students are recommended to have completed NCEA Level 1 Visual Art. The course requires advance skills in drawing and painting, understanding of artist models and drawing conventions.
