NCEA Level 2 English

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Ms J. Charles.

This course will develop your interest in texts and ideas, and presenting ideas, and prepare you for English at Level 3. You will create an individualised course, with your English teacher, based on your interests and strengths. You have Level 1 Literacy, can read and write with minimal help and are prepared to tackle externally assessed standards (exams).

To allow for this flexibility and differentiation, you will work within the digital platform, ‘Microsoft Teams’. This complements teaching and learning within and beyond the classroom. All students are encouraged to bring a device to use in class, as well as at home.

Students could gain the university entrance literacy requirements from this course.

Recommended Prior Learning

Complete NCEA English at Level 1 and attain your Level 1 Literacy requirement before joining this class.

Contributions and Equipment/Stationery

You will need pens and pencils, a laptop, head phones, and a folder to keep any paper work organised.
