Course Description

French Encore 2
Semester 1
Following some revision from French Bonjour! you will build on the language skills developed and continue to learn about the customs and culture of French speaking countries throughout the world.
The content focus broadens to include other familiar contexts so that you can converse in an authentic way about things such as houses, telling the time, free time, chores, daily routine, weather and so on.
You will learn some different aspects of grammar that will help you to speak in a more complex way. There will be more set phrases to help you do this.
There will be more hands-on activities, games, and digital learning. There will be opportunities for you to communicate in French with other students of French around the country.
You may be able to apply for the biennial trip to Tahiti from this course (dependent on safe travel conditions and College events).
You will need a 1B5 exercise book and ear pods. You may use the one from Year 9 if you don't have one.
